About Lust Stories
Lust Stories is Netflix India's anthology bench with four directors per film. Lust Stories from June 2018 runs four desire shorts by Johar, Kashyap, Banerjee and Akhtar. Ghost Stories from January 2020 swaps desire for fear with the same bench plus Shashank Khaitan.
Lust Stories 2 from June 2023 returns to desire with Johar, Banerjee, Akhtar and Konkona Sen Sharma. The casts, couples and ghosts reset every short with the same bold tone. Any short plays alone once you know the anthology game. The bench never blinks.
Good to know
There is no shared story between the shorts, so any film works alone once you know the bench. Release order is still the best default because later shorts refine the bold beats. Start with Lust Stories for the desire classic, then Ghost for the fear detour, then part two last. The quartet format never bends.
