About My People My Country
My People My Country follows ordinary people at National Day moments across seven shorts in 2019. My People My Hometown from 2020 adds five hometown tales with new casts. Both set the anthology tone.
My Country My Parents from 2021 closes with four family war tales. No fourth film has been dated. The trilogies share theme but not cast, so any film can start. Watch in release order for the cleanest read on the series growth. Shorts stand alone per event, but scale and cast grow with each film across the National Day trilogy.
Good to know
There is no story order, since shorts share no continuity to untangle. Release order works best because scale and cast grow by film. Any short can be sampled alone, but the full films read best straight through. The series is completed with no new film dated. Start at the 2019 entry. Any short can be sampled alone, but the full films read best straight through from 2019 to 2021.
