About Overheard
Overheard from 2009 follows police surveillance officers Johnny, Gene and Wong, played by Louis Koo, Daniel Wu and Sean Lau, as a tapped stock tip turns fatal under Alan Mak and Felix Chong. Overheard 2 from 2011 resets with Lau Ching-wan and Louis Koo around a fund murder and brokerage plot.
Overheard 3 from 2014 closes with Lau, Louis Koo, Daniel Wu and Alex Fong in a New Territories land scheme tied to a village election. Each film stands alone with wiretap gear as the link. Watch in release order because surveillance tricks build, and the run ended in 2014 with no revival dated.
Good to know
Release order is the intended path for Overheard because each film is standalone and later tricks assume the 2009 rules. Start with the 2009 original for the wiretap setup, then take Overheard 2 for the finance turn and Overheard 3 for the land-fraud close. No separate chronology is needed for this trilogy.
