About S. Craig Zahler
S. Craig Zahler debuted with Bone Tomahawk in 2015, a western rescue that turns to cave horror with Kurt Russell. Brawl in Cell Block 99 followed in 2017 with Vince Vaughn fighting down through prison blocks. Dragged Across Concrete arrived in 2018 pairing Gibson and Vaughn as suspended cops.
The films share slow builds, long takes and sudden violence but no plot links. Each runs over two hours, so give them clear nights. Release order shows his pulp novels moving to screen with the same hard tone intact.
Good to know
Watch oldest to newest since the three stand alone. Bone Tomahawk suits western horror fans while the two prison cop films pair as one harsh run together. The violence lands late in each, so patience pays off well. The dialogue runs long on purpose before it snaps. No next feature has a date yet, so the 2018 cop film stays last until one lands.
