About Satya
Satya is Ram Gopal Varma's Mumbai underworld saga about migrants turning dons. Satya from July 1998 follows Satya with Chakravarty rising under Bhiku Mhatre with Manoj Bajpayee. Satya 2 from November 2013 resets with builder Lalit with Puneet Singh Ratn.
Anurag Kashyap wrote part one with the Company universe around it. The gangs, cops and shooters reset with the same rise shape. Each film plays alone once you know the don game. The locals never talk across both long underworld shootouts for years.
Good to know
There is no shared gang between the films, so either underworld works alone once you know the format. Release order is still the best default because part two riffs on the classic. Start with the 1998 original for the Bhiku peak, then take part two for the return. The guns never cool across both films.
