About Susanne Bier
Susanne Bier broke out with Brothers in 2004 about two siblings split by war. After the Wedding followed in 2006 with Mikkelsen facing an orphanage choice, then In a Better World in 2010 won the Oscar for foreign film. Serena arrived in 2014 with Lawrence and Cooper in timber country.
The Night Manager came in 2016 as her six part le Carre run with Hiddleston, and Bird Box in 2018 put Bullock blindfolded through the apocalypse on Netflix. The works share moral binds and close handheld shots but no plot links, so release order tracks her Danish to Hollywood path.
Good to know
Watch oldest to newest since each story resets its family and binds. Brothers and After the Wedding pair as her Danish peak with Mikkelsen at his best. The Night Manager fits between Serena and Bird Box as the TV bridge long. No next feature has a date yet, so the 2018 blindfold film stays last until one is announced.
