About The Addams Family
The Addams Family began as Charles Addams cartoons, then became ABC's 1964 sitcom: 64 black-and-white episodes with John Astin and Carolyn Jones. Later versions restart continuity instead of extending it. Hanna-Barbera's 1973 cartoon sends the family on the road. Barry Sonnenfeld's 1991 film and 1993 sequel form their own pair. The 1992 cartoon brings Astin back to voice Gomez. The 1998 direct-to-video Reunion pilots The New Addams Family series. MGM's animated films arrived in 2019 and 2021. Tim Burton's Wednesday on Netflix is its own canon.
