About Baskets
Baskets follows Chip Baskets failing clown school in Paris then working rodeos at home. Season 1 (2016) runs 10 episodes from January 21, 2016 on the Arby's job. Season 2 (2017) runs 10 from January 19, 2017 on the rodeo break. Season 3 (2018) runs 10 from January 23, 2018 on the Denver move. Season 4 (2019) runs 10 from June 13 to August 22, 2019 as the final run.
Jonathan Krisel created the FX show with Zach Galifianakis playing Chip and twin brother Dale, plus Louie Anderson as Christine. The family and Martha arcs build straight across the four years. Watch in broadcast order, since the Costco, the clown wife and the mom casino only land in sequence.
Good to know
Broadcast order is story order, with callbacks that only land if you know the Paris failure. Season 1 sets the Baskets house rules that seasons 2 through 4 tighten into work and mom care. Season 4 plays as farewell across 10 episodes, closing Chip and Martha. Treat the 40 episodes as complete, with no film or revival dated.
