About Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brooklyn Nine-Nine ran eight seasons from 2013 to 2021 as the 99th precinct solves cases between cold opens. The Fox years build Jake and Amy plus the Holt reassignment arcs, and the NBC half lands the Pontiac Bandit returns and the precinct's farewell.

The show stays episodic with serialized friendships underneath, so almost any episode works alone. No film or revival has been ordered, and the finale sends every detective off deliberately, which makes the run complete rather than cut short. The cold opens and the title cards keep the precinct looping happily.

Good to know

Watch seasons 1 through 8 in broadcast order but feel free to sample, since the precinct resets every episode apart from the relationship arcs. The Fox-to-NBC move changes nothing in story terms. The heist episodes work as tentpoles across the run, and the finale gives each character a planned goodbye.
