About Drops of God
Drops of God adapts the Kami no Shizuku manga as a French Japanese co-production for Apple TV. Season 1 from April 2023 pits Camille Leger against Issei Tomine for Alexandre's collection across eight tests. Season 2 from January 2026 sends them after the origin of the world's greatest wine across eight more episodes through March 2026.
Quoc Dang Tran created the series with Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita starring. The show runs in French, Japanese and English with wine tasting as its mystery engine. Season 2 assumes the sibling bond and tasting rules from season 1, so it plays as a direct continuation.
Good to know
Watch season 1 before season 2, since the second hunt reuses rules and relationships from the first duel. Expect heavy wine detail and multilingual dialogue with subtitles. The tasting tests build in difficulty, so later episodes assume the earlier rules. No third season has been announced, so the March 2026 finale is the current endpoint.
