About Elite
Elite starts with three scholarship students entering Las Encinas and a murder closing season 1 in October 2018. Seasons 2 and 3 from 2019 and 2020 close the original trio's arc. Seasons 4 through 6 from 2021 and 2022 reboot around new students with fresh crimes, while seasons 7 and 8 from 2023 and 2024 bring back Omar and close the school for good.
Carlos Montero and Dario Madrona created the series for Netflix with eight episodes per season. Short Stories specials from 2021 sit between seasons 4 and 5 as optional extras. The cast turns over heavily, yet secrets from earlier seasons keep resurfacing, so skipping breaks later reveals.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 8 in release order, since each mystery solution seeds the next year's conflict. The Short Stories are fun but optional and add no required plot. New students arrive almost every year, yet old secrets keep resurfacing to shape the next crime. The July 2024 finale was announced as the series end, so the eighth season is where Las Encinas closes.
