About Eric
Eric premiered May 30, 2024 on Netflix as a six episode limited thriller from Abi Morgan. Vincent Anderson hosts a Good Day Sunshine puppet show while drinking through the hunt for nine year old Edgar. Gaby Hoffmann plays Cassie with McKinley Belcher III as detective Ledroit.
Set in 1980s Manhattan with the AIDS crisis and city decay in frame, the puppet Eric turns from sketch to street companion. Netflix bills it as limited with no season 2. Watch episodes 1 through 6 straight, since the poster route and basement clues build to the tunnel close.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The disappearance through the search plays forward in broadcast order across six parts of about 55 minutes. Start at episode 1, since the puppet design scene sets the rules for later sightings. Treat the 2024 run as finished, with no follow up announced.
