About High Chaparral
High Chaparral follows Big John Cannon wedding Victoria Montoya against Apaches. Seasons 1 to 2 run from 1967 with Buck and Manolito riding. Seasons 3 to 4 cover the later years through 1971 with new hands.
The show keeps one desert map across forts and haciendas. The episodes never need strict links, so release order ranches from wedding to farewell. Each show plays the alliance strong. The desert forts and hacienda feasts open every show while Apaches circle. The buckskin jackets and wedding feasts open every show with dust.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 4 in air order since the alliance builds that way. Big John stays through the run proper as the rock. Manolito steals scenes across all years well. The run is closed after 1971 with no further order needed at all today. The rerun love confirms the alliance, so start at season one.
