About Les Revenants
Les Revenants from Canal ran 16 episodes over two seasons about dead returning to mountain town. Season 1 ran eight episodes November to December 2012 with Camille bus crash return and Simon wedding. Season 2 ran eight September to October 2015 with dam and horde growth.
Stories continue directly with living and returned divide, so broadcast order is story order. No third season was ordered after 2015, so these sixteen are complete with French audio. The US remake Resurrection ran separately 2014 to 2015 and stays out of this French list.
Good to know
Watch season 1 then season 2 with no film between since dam mystery stacks. Each episode runs 55 minutes with slow burn pacing. Season 1 teaches return rules fastest, season 2 pays off lake lore. Expect open ending with horde march rather than cure. Both stream on Max with DVD sets out. Mogwai score carries dread throughout.
