About One Tree Hill
One Tree Hill follows half brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott in Tree Hill through high school basketball into adult life. The show ran nine seasons from 2003 to 2012 with 187 episodes, shifting from teen sport to music, school and family business. A four year jump after season four resets careers.
Seasons one through four cover high school straight, while seasons five through nine follow adult years with new kids. There is no reboot or film. Watch in air order, since marriages, deaths and comebacks assume the prior season.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order, since the show runs forward with one planned jump that the broadcast order already includes. Do not start at season five, because adult payoffs need the high school rivalries first. The finale closes each couple and career, so the last three seasons only land after the jump. Start at season one for the full Scott arc.
