About Rangbaaz
Rangbaaz is ZEE5's crime anthology where ordinary men turn into gangsters. Season one with nine episodes from December 2018 follows Shiv Prakash Shukla in Gorakhpur with Saqib Saleem. Season two Phirse with nine episodes from December 2019 follows Amarpal Singh in Rajasthan with Jimmy Sheirgill.
Season three Darr Ki Rajneeti from July 2022 follows Haroon Shah Ali Baig in Bihar with Vineet Kumar Singh. Each season uses a new state, gang and true crime base, so stories never continue. The politics, STF hunts and mentor betrayals rhyme across years.
Good to know
There is no shared timeline between the seasons, so you can start with any gangster without spoiling another. Release order is still the best default because later seasons refine the formula. Newcomers who like UP crime should start with season one, Rajasthan with season two, Bihar politics with season three.
