About River City
River City tracks Shieldinch tenements since 2002 on BBC Scotland. Early years 2002 to 2010 set Mullen, Murdoch and Lennox with Montego Street rules. Middle years 2011 to 2018 add crime family beats with new rivals.
Recent years 2019 onward run stunt deaths and returns with shorter series. Watch blocks in order because villain arcs pay off years later. The soap airs two nights weekly and is ongoing with no end set. New viewers can start with the first entry for the cleanest introduction to the cast and rules.
Good to know
Block order avoids listing 1300 plus episodes one by one. Early years set tenement and salon base. Middle years add crime and fire stunts. Recent years use returns and exits for milestones. Start with 2002 to 2010 to learn Mullen rules before crime years. No spinoffs break the Shieldinch timeline and subtitles are not needed.
