About School Spirits
School Spirits follows Maddie Nears, who wakes up dead in Split River High and must solve her own case with other trapped students. Season 1 ran eight episodes in March 2023 and ends with a body swap reveal that changes who is actually dead.
Season 2 ran eight episodes from January 2025 and follows the living world fallout plus Janet in Maddies body. Creators Oliver and Nate Trinrud kept the mystery in air order, with each episode adding one clue. Watch season 1 then season 2 with no skipping at all.
Good to know
Watch season 1 then season 2. The show uses flashbacks that belong where they air, so there is no separate chronological list worth building. Season 1 episode 8 and season 2 episode 1 form one handoff, so do not start with season 2. A third season has not been dated as of October 2026, so the sixteen episodes stand as the full run for now.
