About Snabba Cash
Snabba Cash starts as three Swedish crime films based on Jens Lapidus and his Stockholm Noir books: Easy Money (2010), Easy Money II: Hard to Kill (2012) and Easy Money III: Life Deluxe (2013). Joel Kinnaman plays JW, a business student pulled into Stockholm's drug trade. The first film was directed by Daniel Espinosa.
Netflix continued the story with a six-episode first season in April 2021 and a second in September 2022, centred on startup founder Leya and dealer Ravy. The show is set about ten years after the films with a new cast, so it works on its own, but the films explain the world it inherits. Both seasons stream on Netflix and no third season has been announced.
Good to know
Release order is the recommended order and it matches the story order, so this guide needs only one list. The common mistake is treating the Netflix show as a remake. It is a continuation with new leads, set a decade after the trilogy. Film viewers will catch returning names and places, but the series never needs homework beyond the three films.
