About Survivors
Survivors is Terry Nation plague drama about Abby Grant leading immune bands after virus wipes most. The original aired three series on BBC One from 1975 to 1977 with Carolyn Seymour, Lucy Fleming, and Denis Lill through settlements and power loss. BBC revived it in November 2008 with Julie Graham, Max Beesley, and Paterson Joseph for two series to 2010 with faster pace.
The two versions retell the fall separately rather than continuing it. Watch the 1975 original first for the slow rebuild, then the 2008 remake as alternate take on the same plague start.
Good to know
There is no single chronological order across versions since each restarts the plague separately in Britain. Within each run release order is story order, so the guide lists original 1975 then remake 2008 in the sequence they aired for clarity. The 2008 run assumes no 1975 knowledge and can start fresh alone.
