About Sweet Magnolias
Sweet Magnolias adapts Sherryl Woods with JoAnna Garcia as Maddie, Brooke Elliott as Dana Sue and Heather Headley as Helen. Season one from May 2020 runs ten episodes setting divorce and Sullivan's opening with teen parties. Season two from February 2022 runs ten more with car crash fallout and Erik piano.
Season three from July 2023 runs ten to the proposal and kitchen fire. Season four premiered in February 2025 with holiday stakes and new chefs. Netflix has not closed the show as of September 2026, so the run stands open with book plots ahead.
Good to know
Watch seasons one to four in order since Maddie, Cal and teen arcs carry over directly each year. Season two assumes you know the S1 crash and Erik piano from Serenity nights.
