About The English
The English follows Cornelia Locke, an Englishwoman seeking revenge for her son, who joins Eli Whipp, a Pawnee scout heading home after Army service. Early episodes follow stage attacks, harsh towns and killers tracking them across Nebraska and Wyoming. The pair trade skills and stories while lawmen, widows and land barons close in.
The final stretch reveals the past murders, the money behind them and the price both leads must pay. BBC and Prime Video aired 6 episodes in 2022 created by Hugo Blick with Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer. Watch episodes 1 through 6 in order since flashbacks, pursuits and debts only connect in sequence.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 6 in story order because the revenge motive, chase trail and romance build piece by piece. The six form a closed tale with no second season needed, so the run is complete. Expect stark plains visuals, brutal fights and slow reveals. The finale reframes early kindness as payback. Flashbacks connect murders, money and motive clearly.
