About The Terror
The Terror started in March 2018 with 10 episodes about Franklin lost expedition ships Erebus and Terror in the Arctic. Infamy followed in August 2019 with 10 episodes about a shape shifting force in Japanese internment camps during World War 2. Devil in Silver arrived May 7, 2026 on AMC Plus and Shudder with six episodes about Pepper in New Hyde psychiatric hospital.
AMC built each run as a closed anthology from different books and creators, with Ridley Scott producing throughout. Jared Harris led season 1, Derek Mio led season 2, and Dan Stevens leads season 3 with Judith Light, so no character carries across seasons.
Good to know
Any season can start your viewing since the casts and centuries reset, but release order shows how the show moved from historical survival to contemporary hospital horror.
