About Tulsa King

Tulsa King is Taylor Sheridan's Paramount+ crime comedy drama and Sylvester Stallone's first leading role in a scripted series. He plays Dwight Manfredi, a New York capo who serves 25 years and is exiled to Oklahoma, where he builds a new crew out of a dispensary owner, a taxi driver and a horse ranch. The show mixes mob business with a steady stream of jokes about a New York dinosaur learning the Sun Belt.

Season 1 ran nine episodes from November 2022 to January 2023. Seasons 2 and 3 ran ten episodes each, in autumn 2024 and autumn 2025, and season 4 began on October 16, 2026 with ten more. Paramount+ renewed the show for season 5 on October 6, 2026, ten days before the fourth premiere, and that season moves Dwight's operation to New York. Terence Winter, the first season's showrunner, stays on as head writer and executive producer.

A spin-off, Frisco King, stars Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr., the hitman who refused an order to kill Dwight. It was developed as NOLA King before moving from New Orleans to Frisco, Texas, and it premieres December 18, 2026. Watch Tulsa King first, because Russell's introduction happens here.

Good to know

Release order is the only order. There are no prequels or flashback seasons, and each year picks up shortly after the last. Season 1 is the short one at nine episodes; seasons 2 through 4 have ten each.

Frisco King is a separate show, not a season of this one, and it belongs after season 4 even though Russell first appears earlier. The project was called NOLA King for a while, which is why older write-ups still use that name.

Paramount+ has already ordered season 5, so do not treat the season 4 finale as an ending. Seasons 2 and 3 were filmed in Atlanta after the first season's Oklahoma shoot, which is why the backgrounds change.
