About Waking the Dead
Waking the Dead is BBC cold case procedural with Trevor Eve as Boyd, Sue Johnston, Wil Johnson, and forensic pathologists solving historic crimes with new technique. A pilot aired September 2000, then nine series ran to April 11 2011, each story told as two hour long parts on consecutive nights. A third series episode won the 2004 International Emmy for drama.
The Body Farm spinoff with Tara Fitzgerald aired one series in late 2011 after the end, and a 2018 radio prequel reunited voices. Watch the pilot then series one to nine in order, since team changes and Boyd arc build across the run to Waterloo.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The pilot plus nine series from 2000 to 2011 follow the unit forward case by case across 46 two part stories, so release order and story order are the same list. The Body Farm spinoff and Unforgiven radio prequel sit outside the main Boyd run and can be saved for after.
