About AD Police
AD Police Files from 1990 follows officer Kenji Sasaki hunting rogue Boomers across three OVA episodes in Mega Tokyo with cyborg grief and partner loss at Genom labs. AD Police TV from 1999 continues with rookie Kenji with Hans and the updated squad across twelve episodes with daily patrol cases.
Both sit in the Bubblegum Crisis world with the Boomer threat linking Genom plots and Knight Sabers lore. Watch Files first for the unit rules and street tone, then TV for weekly cases. The run closed in 1999 with no revival announced.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for AD Police worth listing, since release order gives the OVA unit before the TV squad years. The Boomer hunt repeats on purpose across Mega Tokyo nights and labs, so the cases land in order. Watch Files first for tone, then take the TV series freely in order today.
