About Black Cat
Black Cat follows Train Heartnet, number XIII assassin for Chronos, who quits after meeting sweeper Saya Minatsuki and joins Sven Vollfied and bio weapon Eve. Directed by Shin Itagaki at Gonzo, the twenty four episodes blend early manga beats with an extended Apostles of the Stars climax.
The anime diverges from the manga opening, starting while Train is still with Chronos rather than years after leaving. Watch episodes one through twenty four in broadcast order, since Creed obsession and Eve growth build steadily. The run ends with the manga conclusion plus extra arc, so no sequel is needed to close Train story.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order, since the series tells one linear fall and redemption across twenty four episodes. Start at episode one for Train as Black Cat setup that makes Saya impact land. The manga continues with extra detail after the anime, but the broadcast end resolves the Creed thread. Keep the story in broadcast sequence for first viewing.
