About Bleach

Tite Kubo's Bleach aired from October 2004 to March 2012, adapting the manga through the Fullbring arc in 366 episodes. About a third of that is filler: four anime-only arcs including Bount (episodes 64 to 85) and the Zanpakuto Rebellion (214 to 268). The canon episodes carry straight on.

Four theatrical films followed between 2006 and 2010, each built around villains Kubo designed himself. They stand alone, and no part of the order depends on them.

The Thousand-Year Blood War is the manga's final arc, which the 2012 series never reached. It returned in four parts: The Blood Warfare in 2022, The Separation in 2023, The Conflict in 2024 and The Calamity in 2026. Kubo supervised the recut and added scenes the manga left out, so this run is the complete ending rather than a retread.

Good to know

Filler guides are easy to find and worth following, since the four filler arcs sit between canon material instead of replacing it. The Calamity's tenth episode, the last Bleach episode, is scheduled for September 26, 2026, and no further anime has been announced. Rumors of a Hell Arc manga revival in Weekly Shonen Jump have run since June 2026, but none are confirmed. The only Hell Arc story that exists is the 2021 one-shot No Breathes From Hell.
