About Drifters
Drifters adapts Kouta Hirano's manga about Shimazu Toyohisa pulled from Sekigahara into a fantasy war between Drifters and Ends. The TV series aired 12 episodes in 2016 from Hoods Entertainment with the Oda alliance forming. Three OVAs released from 2016 to 2018 extend the army building around the dwarf rebellion.
The manga continues past the anime with the story still active, so further anime stays possible with no date announced as of 2026. The show shares Hirano's style with Hellsing but no plot, standing apart as its own isekai war.
Good to know
Watch the 12 episodes first, then the three OVAs in order, since the army roster and the Ends reveals assume the TV run. The show ends mid-war by design rather than closing, so expect the manga to carry the campaigns onward. The OVAs fit as direct continuations rather than side stories, keeping them in place.
