About Eureka Seven
Eureka Seven follows Renton joining Gekkostate with pilot Eureka across trapar waves. The 2005 series runs 50 episodes to the Command Cluster close. Pocketful of Rainbows in 2009 retells with Holland as enemy in an alternate universe. AO in 2012 follows son Ao 10 years later, while Hi-Evolution films from 2017 reboot into Summer of Love variants.
Watch the 2005 series first as the core telling since sequels riff on its Coral logic. AO assumes the original ending, so save it for second. Pocketful and Hi-Evolution play as alternates rather than required steps, with the 2021 third Hi film as the latest branch end.
Good to know
Release order keeps Coral reveals intact with the original secret last. The 2005 run sets lifting rules slowly through jobs, so give it ten episodes. AO runs faster with particles, which lands better once Gekkostate bonds are known. Treat Pocketful and Hi-Evolution as optional alternates after the core plus AO, with the run closed since 2021.
