About Geobreeders
Geobreeders centers on Kagura Total Security, a small firm led by Yuka Kikushima with new hire Yoichi Taba, taking jobs against shape shifting phantom cats. The first OVA, File-X Get Back the Kitty, runs three episodes from 1998 and sets up the team, their tactics, and the rescue of the cat girl Maya.
The second OVA, File-XX Breakthrough, runs four episodes from 2000 to 2001 and continues with the same cast facing a tougher phantom cat gang and added government pressure. Watch the two OVAs in release order, which is also story order, and save the manga until after unless you want extra cases.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Geobreeders worth listing, since the two OVAs tell one straight story and release order is story order. Both series were made by Chaos Project and once licensed in English by Central Park Media, so older DVDs use that dub. The manga ran from 1993 to 2009 and holds far more cases, but neither OVA needs it to make sense.
