About Great Teacher Onizuka
Great Teacher Onizuka follows ex biker Onizuka teaching Class 3-4. The 1998 drama with Sorimachi set the live template, then the 1999 anime ran 43 episodes with Fuyutsuki. The 2012 drama rebooted with Akira, and the 2014 Taiwan run moved abroad.
The manga by Fujisawa sits beneath all runs apart. Each version resets the school year, so no timeline links them. Release order walks the staff room from Shonan heat to later revivals. The bike roars and staff room glares carry every class with heat. The motorbikes and chalk dust fill every class with shouts.
Good to know
Watch the 1998 drama or 1999 anime first since both tell the core year well. The 2012 and 2014 dramas play as revival takes after. The manga ending differs a bit, which is normal. The run is closed with no further order needed at all today. The fan polls confirm the bike, so give 1999 full attention.
