About Haikyu
Haikyu adapts Haruichi Furudate's volleyball manga in order through four TV seasons plus final films. Season 1 from 2014 builds Karasuno, season 2 covers the Tokyo training camp, season 3 is the Shiratorizawa final, and To the Top from 2020 splits the Inarizaki match across two cours.
The Dumpster Battle film from February 2024 adapts the Karasuno versus Nekoma nationals match as the first of two planned final films. A second film, VS the Little Giant, is announced but undated, so the anime currently stops at the Nekoma win with the manga complete for readers.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through To the Top, then the Dumpster Battle film, since the movie assumes full knowledge of both squads. OVAs like Land vs Sky and The Way of the Ace slot after their seasons as qualifiers. Story order matches release order exactly, so one list covers it, and the undated second film is the only gap left before the story reaches its manga ending.
