About Kamichu!
Kamichu! follows Yurie in 2005 across sixteen episodes waking as a Shinto god in Onomichi. Early episodes cover the wish granting, the Yashima sample and the school festival.
The middle run covers the god meetings and the Mars turn. The closing run ends on the farewell choice. The twelve DVD shorts extend the edges. Watch the TV run first, then the shorts. The wish rules only read in sequence across the episodes. Mitsue and Matsuri ground the god comedy. The summer festival centers the middle run.
Good to know
Watch TV episodes 1 through 16 before the DVD shorts. Brain's Base aired the run in summer 2005 with no sequel, so the sixteen plus twelve stand as the run. The Onomichi setting stays lovingly detailed throughout. The shorts assume the series known. The shorts play as codas. Start at the waking episode.
