About Kiteretsu
Kiteretsu Daihyakka follows inventor Eiichi Kido, a descendant of the Edo tinkerer Kiteretsu, who builds gadgets from a centuries old encyclopedia with his robot pal Korosuke. The TV run aired 331 episodes from 1988 to 1996, mixing school tests, neighborhood festivals and time travel trips that always loop back to homework and friendship by the end of the half hour.
Korosuke carries the show with samurai speech and a crunchy croquette appetite. The stories never build a finale arc, so the run works as comfort viewing in any stretch. Start from the early invention episodes, since they set the encyclopedia rules that every later gadget quietly reuses.
Good to know
There is no story order to solve because episodes reset each week, so broadcast order is the only list that matters. The 1987 special works as a pilot and plays best first, before the 1988 series start. Skip around freely after the first dozen episodes, since no two part story gates anything later. The manga ended years before the anime, so the show closes without a canon finale to chase.
