About Les Miserables
Les Miserables follows Jean Valjean after prison as he shelters Cosette and tries to live honestly while Inspector Javert tracks him. Early episodes cover Fantine's fall, the Thenardier inn abuse and the flight from Montreuil. The middle run follows the Paris convent hideout, Marius falling for grown Cosette and the Thenardier schemes closing in.
The final stretch builds toward the 1832 uprising, the barricade night, the sewer escape and Valjean's last confession. Nippon Animation aired 52 episodes in 2007 as part of World Masterpiece Theater with careful period streets and interiors. Watch episodes 1 through 52 in order since pursuit, mercy and love threads all converge at the end.
