About Lime-iro Senkitan
The TV series from January 2003 runs thirteen episodes from Hibari, as teacher Shintaro leads five Raimu girls aboard the flying ship Amanohara in 1904. Battles mix mecha summons with school life against the Russian corps. The run adapts the ELF visual novel.
The South Island OVA from 2004 continues across two episodes on a repair island stop. Lime-iro Ryuukitan X from 2005 follows as a thirteen episode TV sequel with a new cast. Watch TV, then OVA, then X, since each assumes the ship and the unit.
Good to know
Release order is the story order across the three. Start with the 2003 TV run for the war setup. The two part OVA is a breather before X. Expect period costumes with mecha and harem comedy throughout. X changes leads, so treat it as a second generation tale. The visual novel adds routes beyond the anime.
