EX ran 8 episodes from January to July 2014 bundled on Refrain discs adapting Ecstasy routes set during season 1. A mail order bonus and the Kud Wafter film from 2020 are optional extras outside the main line. No new anime has been announced since 2014. Watch season 1, then Refrain, then EX in release spots.
Good to know
EX routes sit mid season 1 in time but released after Refrain, so chronological order would interrupt the first run. Release order keeps the secret of the world where intended. Refrain reframes season 1 completely, so it must come second. The story ends closed with EX. No continuation has been dated as of September 2026.
