About Mind Game
Mind Game adapts Robin Nishi's manga about loser Nishi shot by yakuza then escaping death to chase Myon. Studio 4C animated the 2004 feature with Yuasa directing mixed media loops.
No sequel was made. Treat the single film as finished. Watch it once straight through. The whale and God threads loop inside the same runtime. The manga is source, not required viewing for the film. The loop gags stack from bar brawls to whale guts to high-rise chases with wild color shifts. The God cameo reframes each earlier minute with manic glee throughout the runtime.
