About One Piece
One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew across a pirate world, airing continuously since 1999 with over 1100 episodes. The story moves through named sagas, from East Blue to the current Elbaph arc, and Toei now releases it in a semi-seasonal format of about 26 episodes per year.
Fifteen theatrical films exist and all of them are non-canon side stories. They are fun, especially Strong World, Film Z and Film Red, but none affects the main plot.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for One Piece worth listing: the story is one straight line, so release order and story order are the same list. Watch the sagas below in sequence and treat the films as optional extras.
Two big projects are dated: the WIT Studio remake THE ONE PIECE starts on Netflix in February 2027 with a tight 7-episode first season, and the next canon film is set for summer 2027.
