About Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
Orb: On the Movements of the Earth adapts Uoto's manga about the fight to prove heliocentrism in fifteenth century Poland, animated by Madhouse across 25 episodes from October 2024 to March 2025. Rafal, a gifted student, inherits forbidden research showing Earth moves around the Sun, and each generation of scholars risks torture by the Inquisition to carry the work forward. Oczy, Gras, Badeni and Jolenta each take up the proof in turn as the story passes its torch across decades.
The run aired in two cours, episodes 1 to 12 in 2024 and 13 to 25 in 2025, and release order is the only order since each chapter builds on the last scholar's fate. The finale reframes the whole chain, so watch straight through 1 to 25 with no films to place.
Good to know
Watch all 25 episodes in release order with nothing skipped, since each generation's ending sets up the next scholar's beginning. The story is dense with dates and names, so subtitles help even on the English dub. The 2024 cour ends on a major handoff, making it a natural pause point before the 2025 run. No recap films or OVAs exist, so episodes 1 through 25 are the complete work.
