About Black Butler
Black Butler follows Ciel Phantomhive and his demon butler Sebastian as they solve crimes for Queen Victoria in Victorian England. The first season drifts from the manga and the second season leaves it entirely, while everything from Book of Circus onward adapts it faithfully.
Good to know
For the story as the manga tells it, skip season 2 and continue from Book of Circus. The manga returned from hiatus in April 2025 as it heads toward its climax, but no new anime season has been announced.
