About Orguss
Super Dimension Century Orguss ran 35 episodes from July 1983 on TBS with Kei tumbling across shattered worlds after a bomb test. Big West and Artland animated the second Super Dimension run after Macross. Orguss 02 arrived as a 6-episode OVA from 1993 to 1995 with new pilots and updated designs.
No sequel series has been made. The TV plus OVA form a closed pair with no shared cast beyond the world rules. The OVA looks sharper but tells a smaller revolution story by design. The shattered worlds reward patience across all 35 episodes.
Good to know
TV first keeps the world shatter and Kei's plane upgrades clear. Orguss 02 works as a distant follow-up rather than a direct sequel, so expect new leads. The 1990s OVA pacing is slower with fewer sorties. With no continuation dated, the 1995 OVA close ends the screen run at two entries. With no continuation dated, the 1995 OVA close ends the screen run at two entries total.
