About Princess Jellyfish

Princess Jellyfish ran 11 episodes from October to December 2010 at Brains Base for Noitamina, about jellyfish fan Tsukimi and cross dresser Kuranosuke saving the Amars apartment from redevelopment. The run covers the sisterhood setup and fashion show turn.

A live action film from December 2014 retells the same fight in 126 minutes, while a 10 episode Fuji drama from January to March 2018 offers another full take with extended side plots. The manga by Akiko Higashimura ran 2008 to 2017 and finished. No new anime has been announced.

Good to know

Watch the 11 episode anime first for the cleanest arc. The film and drama retell rather than continue, so picking one extra is enough unless comparing takes. The drama extends side plots the film cuts, which means drama after anime works better than film after drama. All three end at similar points.
