About Sansha Sanyou
Sansha Sanyou follows big eater Futaba Odagiri, sharp tongued Teru Hayama and gentle Yoko Nishikawa, classmates whose surnames read as leaf and who share lunches daily. Early episodes set trio formation, Nishiyama's cat care, bread races and Futaba's appetite. Doga Kobo adapts Cherry Arai's manga from April 2016.
Later episodes work through test wars, part time jobs, mountain trips, festival stalls and cake shares. Teru's poor home, Yoko's mansion and Futaba's sister add warmth. Watch episodes 1 through 12 in order, then the OVA, since test stakes and festival prep build across terms to the trio close.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 12 in broadcast order, then the OVA which slots beside the TV stories. Lunches reset but test stakes and festival work build in air order, so skipping breaks later payoffs. The manga runs past the anime with extra leaves. No second season has aired, so the twelve episodes plus OVA stand as the full run for now.
