About Sister Princess
Sister Princess follows Wataru Minakami sent to Promised Island where twelve girls claim him as brother. The Zexcs first series aired April to September 2001 for 26 episodes, setting island mystery and sibling daily beats. RePure followed October to December 2002 for 13 episodes with split A and B stories, reuniting the cast after time apart with calmer tones.
The two runs adapt Sakurako Kimino light novels with different pacing, the first as ensemble introduction and the second as paired vignettes. Specials add four extras outside broadcast order but set around the same island life.
Good to know
Broadcast order is story order for first viewing, with RePure playing as an alternate continuation rather than a hard sequel. Expect softer drama in RePure after the broader comedy of 2001. The game and novel branches add routes beyond anime, so keep them outside the viewing list for a straight watch.
