About Studio Ghibli
Studio Ghibli is the Tokyo animation studio founded in 1985 by Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, known for hand crafted fantasy worlds. Its films share no continuity, so this guide lists all 24 features in release order with a shortlist for first timers.
Good to know
Every Ghibli feature is standalone, so release order is a suggestion rather than a requirement. As of September 2026 the studio has not announced its next feature, though Miyazaki reportedly still comes to work daily.
