About Tetsuro Araki

Tetsuro Araki directed Death Note in 2006 with Madhouse about Light and L, then Highschool of the Dead in 2010 as a zombie school run. Guilty Crown followed in 2011 as an original mech song story, then Attack on Titan season 1 in 2013 made his fast camera work famous.

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress arrived in 2016 as a steampunk train sequel in spirit, and Bubble in 2022 took him to film with a parkour mermaid tale. The shows share energy and composers but no plot, so release order keeps the style steps clear.

Good to know

Watch oldest to newest since each show resets its cast. Death Note and Attack on Titan are the two peaks to give full focus. Guilty Crown and Kabaneri pair as original runs with songs at the core throughout. No next series has a date at all yet today, so the 2022 film stays last until one is announced.
