About Black Lagoon
Black Lagoon runs two twelve-episode seasons in 2006 with Rock joining the Lagoon Company against Hotel Moscow and the Triad. Roberta's Blood Trail from 2010 to 2011 continues as a five-episode OVA about Roberta's vengeance war pulling every faction in, officially counted as the third season. Release order is story order across all three with no filler to skip.
The comedic omake shorts from 2009 to 2010 stay outside as extras. The manga continues past the OVA for readers. No fourth season has been announced despite the manga's slow continuation, so Blood Trail stays the endpoint. The run is short enough at twenty-nine episodes that chronology never complicates anything.
Good to know
Watch season 1, Second Barrage, then Roberta's Blood Trail straight through. The OVA assumes Roberta's season 1 history and the full Roanapur board known, so it cannot open. The omake shorts parody the cast and need the series seen. Roberta's arc is the heaviest stretch of the run, which is why the lighter seasons must come first to earn it.
