About Black Lagoon
Rokuro 'Rock' Okajima, a Japanese salaryman abducted in Southeast Asia, joins the Lagoon Company mercenaries running guns around the pirate haven of Roanapur. Madhouse produced the anime under director Sunao Katabuchi: two 12-episode seasons aired in 2006, spring and fall, adapting Rei Hiroe's manga.
Roberta's Blood Trail followed as a five-episode OVA across 2010 and 2011, set after the second season. Watch season 1, season 2, then the OVA. That is both release order and story order.
Good to know
No new anime has been announced as of September 17, 2026. In January 2026 Hiroe said a revival depends on manga and merchandise sales, so comeback talk remains rumor. The manga resumed serialization in July 2025 after a hiatus. The OVA's first episode premiered on TV in June 2010 ahead of the July disc release, which is why dates vary by a few weeks across sources.
