About Toriko
Toriko follows a Gourmet Hunter chasing rare ingredients with chef Komatsu. A 2009 Jump special and a 2010 OVA tested the concept before the TV series ran 147 episodes from April 2011 to March 2014 on Fuji TV. The first episode crosses over with One Piece.
Two movies fill the gaps. The 2011 3D film opened alongside the series launch and the 2013 Secret Recipe film runs 81 minutes. A 2013 TV special teams Toriko with One Piece and Dragon Ball Z. The manga ended in 2016 at 43 volumes while the anime stops at the Cooking Festival, so the show ends on original material.
Good to know
The movies and specials are non canon side stories, so there is no chronological order worth listing. Watch the specials in release order around the TV run or skip them and lose nothing. The TV series is the only required viewing. No reboot or sequel has been announced, and the manga is complete since 2016.
